Erin and Sara Foster Bring Favorite Daughters to Nordstrom Dallas

To bring Erin or Sara Foster is to hear a quick answer: “Oh, I love them.” The daughters of music producer David Foster have developed their own kind of fame, fueled by genuine honesty and quick wit (especially on Instagram). They’ve lent their liking factor to companies like Mirror or Bumble, but the 2020 launch of Favorite Daughter, a fashion brand inspired by choices in their own closet, is their first true foray into co-founder territory.

Hoping to offer a high-quality alternative to fast fashion, foster brothers know how to design for now. (Their first hero product launch was a hoodie set featuring a removable face mask.) Still, the brand continues to thrive, inspired by well-crafted basics and classic staples that sisters want to see in their own closet (think bodies). cashmere suits, breezy blazers, oversized boyfriend shirts, and lots of coveted high-rise denim).

This Thursday, May 12, the Foster Family stopped by NorthPark Center Dallas for an intimate shopping experience on their Favorite Princess pop-up on Nordstrom. Ahead of the event, we encourage the sisters to talk a bit about the brand, their favorite work, and of course, what they love most about the city.

Erin: Sara, what do you love most about being a co-founder of a brand, especially with your sister?
Sara: Being creative together is very special. Look, Centric Brands has given us an incredible opportunity and we love seeing the company grow together and create designs that make people happy.”

Sara: Did you ever think we would get into the fashion business together? And with Jordan [Foster] so get involved too?
Erin: No, I don’t see this coming in any way, shape or form. I can’t say this is on my vision board. But here we’re doing it together and now that we’re in it, I don’t really see a way out.

Erin: What is your favorite part of bringing our brand to life?
Sara: It really never gets old: people stop us on the street or write us how much they love your clothes. It tastes great!

Sara: What do you think is the most challenging?
Erin: With any business, there are always mistakes you have to manage and that is always a challenge. You have to work on being patient, seeing mistakes show up and not panicking, and managing people and expectations and people being unhappy with something, it’s all challenging but always worth it.

Erin: Why do you think Dallas is a great market for us?
Sara: Look, those Dallas ladies love shopping – they’re fashionable, they have great style and also… number one is that our grandmothers lived there. So we’re so glad he saw that we had a job!

Sara: Hurry up, tell me your most “favorite” collection!
Erin: Ex-girlfriend’s shirt — it’s the most versatile. And denim… denim is my favourite. I only wore Favorite Daughter denim, I didn’t even touch my old denim!

Erin: Okay, now say yours! And what does every Dallas woman do? need in her closet from Favorite Princess?
Sara: I have to say that my favorite part is Favorite Pants. As someone who is 5″9′ tall, I always struggle to find the perfect pants that are high waisted and long enough and flattering and made of good materials that don’t break the bank. It comes in a ton of colors. I think every Dallas woman needs “Favorite Pants” in her wardrobe.
