A FASHION guru has revealed the big mistakes people make that instantly make looks cheaper – including the beloved leopard print.
Fashion certainly doesn’t have any rules – as long as it makes you feel confident, you can wear whatever you want.
But according to one of Fashion Mom’s whiz on TikTok, there are a few things to consider when styling your clothes.
In a clip, which has taken the internet by storm, garnering 2.1 million views, the pro explains why clothing prices are irrelevant.
According to him, you can still look cheap even though you have paid thousands for high-end designer goods.
“None of my fashion kids look cheap.”
Number one, Fashion Mom reveals, is ”logo on logo on logo…on logo”.
While small logo monograms can be “cute” in certain cases, there’s a fine line between chic and cheap – and going overboard with big brand logos printed almost everywhere certainly won’t help the look.
“This should be done in moderation.”
Our expert Clemmie Fieldsend agrees: ”Expensive brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and YSL with their early stamps make you look flashy and like you’re trying too hard to show off your wealth.
“Remember, money doesn’t buy style.”
Another fad that shouldn’t be avoided at all costs, she points out, is the infamous oversize trend that took over runaways and magazines a few years ago — and hasn’t stopped since.

Using a shot of Billie Eilish, the award-winning American singer-songwriter, who is also known for her love of baggy clothes, Fashion Mom claims that more often than not it will come across as “sloppy”.
”I got the oversized blazer look – I absolutely love it – but […] it gives me ‘Big and Tall Shop […]retail $50.99, purchased with permission $19.99.
”I like the oversized blazer trend…But maybe not the triple XL […] on the extra small frame.”
The third no-no to look out for is the famous leopard print, which became famous a few years ago.
“I don’t care how much it costs, you’ll look like a clown… And cheap.”
Fellow fashionistas rushed to the comments to share their thoughts, with one caption: “If you had told me it was all $10, I would have believed you.”
”Agree that greatness is too much,” added another.
But many also disagreed with what Fashion Mom had to say, like this TikTok user: ”Okay, but logo mania started in AA. [African American] community so it’s kind of disgusting to call it “cheap” just because you don’t like it [sic].”
One Billie Eilish fan warned: “Never overshadow Billie Eilish.”
