Low-rise jeans ‘making a comeback’, claims model as she dazzles in fashion piece

Denim is known as a timeless piece of fashion that you can keep in your wardrobe but will never go out of style.

However, while the concept of denim jeans never goes out of style, different cuts were popular at different times as people replaced skinny jeans with ’70s style flares and ditched boyfriend jeans for mum jeans.

In addition to the jeans cut, this increase was also influenced by its popularity at the time, and according to one model on Instagram, 2022 is the year of low-rise jeans, reports The Mirror.

Jeans were the pinnacle of fashion in the early Noughties – and earlier in some places – and while many of us have transitioned to more comfortable high-waisted looks, US model Taya Christian has claimed that low-rise jeans are “making a comeback.”

Taya, who has more than 1.6 million followers on Instagram under the username @thedoctorbae, recently showed off her figure in a pair of white jeans after initially expressing her concerns about wearing the bottom cut as a “curvy girl”.

But the US star is known for posting her body positives, and says she’s amazed by how well the white jeans fit and accentuate her figure in all the right places.

She wrote: “So apparently low rise jeans are back? Okay but listen to me..

“I was a little nervous about keeping up with trends as a curvy girl UNTIL I stumbled upon this little gem from @torrid! They are medium build and their girl goes on like BUTTA! [sic].”

Taya’s fans were equally blown away by her look, as many of them told her she looked “amazing” in her outfit, which was complemented by a beige crop top and matching peep-toe heels.

Someone said: “Ok, these mid-rise jeans I can wear, they fit you like a glove! You look amazing, baby!”

While another added: “Speechless! Not only do you look absolutely stunning but the energy in this picture is EVERYTHING.”

And a third noted: “This look is SO cute!”

Several other commenters were also inspired to try their own low-rise and mid-rise jeans after seeing Taya’s post, as it encouraged them to be bolder.

Someone said: “I need to check this! Low-rise jeans scare me. You look good, boy!”
