From fur boas to sequined jumpsuits, we reminisce about the singer’s most iconic outfits.
Harry Styles is busier than ever. Between her new acting career, touring, headlining Coachella show and the launch of her beauty brand Pleasing, it’s no surprise that the “Sugar Watermelon” singer is taking a short break from putting out new music. But now, with Harry’s house releasing on May 20, the three-year wait is over and Styles will return triumphantly to our summer playlist.
The musician has been giving subtle hints about his third studio album for months, and fans have been speculating about what’s in store. But when Styles released the music video for the first single from Harry’s house“As It Was” (where she wears a red sequined Arturo Obegero jumpsuit), it’s clear that the somewhat reclusive singer will let us into her world and take her flashy fashion sense to new extremes.
Based on Joni Mitchell’s 1975 song “Harry’s House/Centerpiece”, the album will feature 13 tracks. Lucky fans can hear snippets of upcoming songs “Boyfriends” and “Late Night Talking” at his performance at Coachella on April 15 and 22. For both shows, Styles chose a range of flashy, sequined outfits that fit the theme of the glossy outfit she wore during the Love On Tour (which will stop in Toronto on August 15 and 16).
But for the cover Harry’s house, Styles swapped sequins for denim while wearing Molly Goddard from head to toe. Inspired by the London-based designer’s Spring 2022 collection, Styles wore an embroidered linen shirt with a Peter Pan collar, flared jeans decorated with a single red flower and white ballet shoes. Obviously, with Harry’s house, rockstar leaning towards the style of the seventies. And soon, Harry Styles will soon be showing off his fifties fashion at Do not worry dear (directed by his girlfriend Olivia Wilde and due for release on September 23), in which he plays Florence Pugh’s onscreen husband.
Never one to shy away from making bold fashion statements, we expect a more eclectic look from Harry Styles as he enters this new era. But why not take a trip back down memory lane?
From boy band heartthrobs to solo fashion icons, here are some of Harry Styles’ most iconic looks over the years.
